This is a nice example of unobtrusive JavaScript.
(Use of JavaScript is said to be unobtrusive when it adds to experience in some way, but is not the entire experience. Put another way, the key part of the experience should be available to users who do not have JavaScript.)
Project 50 was put together - mainly by my kids armed with a digital camera - to celebrate a relative's 50th birthday. (Identity withheld to protect the ancient.)

If do have JavaScript, we can makes things slightly more interesting.
If you hover over the pictures with your mouse, an enlarged version of the image will appear. The enlarged version follows the mouse until you leave the small image... and reappears when you hover over the next image.
